Anyone who has ever had a Shiba Inu can tell you that this dog is different from the others. It is not only its appearance that sets it apart from other dog, but salso its behavior. The barking habit of this dog is extremely irritating for Shiba Inu owners, especially if no action is taken about. So here are 5 tips for dealing with your dog's excessive barking.

Barking is how Shiba Inus communicate.

When a Shiba barks, he or she is expressing an emotion. There are many reasons why a Shiba may bark, and it's important to understand what these may be.Barking is one way that dogs show they are bored or under-stimulated. Often, uncontrollable barking occurs because your dog doesn't get enough exercise or mental stimulation. This can be solved by increasing the amount of time you spend with your dog and by giving them more exercise and stimulation.

Barking also happens when a dog feels anxious or stressed. When this happens, it's important to keep your cool in order to calm your dog down. You should never punish your dog for barking, as this will just make them more anxious and stressed.

When a  Shiba Inu barks, it's important to focus on what triggered the bark so that you can address the root cause of the problem rather than dealing with only the symptoms (the noise). If you want to know how to stop an excessive barker, first look at why the barking occurs in the first place.

Your dog may be barking because of a medical issue.

Here are some possible causes for your dog’s behavior:

-If your dog is barking at passersby, it could be because of pain or anxiety associated with movement. Your vet can help you determine if this is the case.

-Aging dogs sometimes bark out of confusion or anxiety. If this sounds like your dog, talk to your veterinarian about strategies to help him deal with his feelings.

-Territorial aggression and fear-related aggression can be the result of brain disease or trauma. You may not even realize that your  Shiba Inu has suffered a serious brain injury, but if he has, he may become aggressive without warning and for no apparent reason. Again, if you suspect this might be the problem, talk to your vet about your concerns and what you should do next.

Although there are many reasons why your dog may be barking, it is important to do some digging to know what is causing it. This can help you know how to handle the situation and stop the barking.

Here are some common reasons behind your dog's barking:

Boredom

If your  Shiba Inu is constantly being left alone at home, they may become bored which can result in a number of problems, including excessive barking. If you work long hours or have a busy life, it is likely that your  Shiba Inu spends most of their time on their own.

To ensure that they are not bored, provide them with plenty of exercise and stimulation throughout the day; for example, you could hire a dog sitter or walker to come around during the day.

Loneliness

Many dogs bark because they feel lonely and want attention from their owners. If you are out at work all day, your  Shiba Inu may only see you for a few hours at night which can lead to them feeling lonely when you are gone.

To solve this problem, try getting out of work earlier so that you can spend more time with your pooch! You could also consider taking them into work with you if possible or hiring someone to come around in the day to keep them company.

Dogs can develop serious behavior problems as a result of boredom. Your  Shiba Inu may be barking ut of oboredom or loneliness.

Dogs are social animals, and they need to be in the company of humans and/or other animals most of the time. They thrive on regular interaction, so if they're left alone for long periods of time, they can become bored, which can lead to separation anxiety and destructive behavior such as chewing or digging. If you work long hours or are frequently out at home for an extended period of time, consider hiring a dog walker or pet sitter to take care of your pooch in your absence.

Dogs who don’t get enough exercise often exhibit hyperactivity and aggression. If you don’t have the time to exercise your  Shiba Inu two or three times a day, consider adopting a calmer breed that doesn't require as much exercise, or hire a dog walker to tire out your  Shiba Inu on days when you know you'll be stuck at work.

Get rid of your Shiba Inu's triggers.

Shiba Inus are highly intelligent dogs and have the ability to learn very quickly. This is the good news, however, the bad news is that because of this, they can also pick up on things during training or when you're out and about with them that can trigger a bad reaction. For example, if they've been attacked by another dog, they may become aggressive towards other dogs if they feel threatened. They may also bark excessively at other people or animals and will usually do this when you're out in public with them.

Another reason why your Shiba Inu may be barking all the time could be due to their intense desire to please their owners. They want to make sure that their owners are happy and safe at all times and so they will often bark if they feel like their owner isn't paying enough attention to them.

So how can you tell if your Shiba Inu is barking out of boredom or just trying to get your attention? To find out if your Shiba Inu is barking excessively because it's bored, try giving them some time alone in a room where there aren't any other people or animals around so that it doesn't get distracted by anything else.
